Guide Maule Tamang Summits Mera Peak

Local Expedition Guide Maule Tamang successfully summited Mera Peak 6476m (21,247ft) on 27th Oct 23 for the tenth time. Classified as one of the Himalaya’s ‘trekking peaks’ it is used by many adventurers who want to push themselves that little bit further and climb something whilst trekking in the region. Mera Peak is also used by mountaineers preparing to go higher into 7000m & 8000m peaks as an entry level expedition as did the pioneers of the 1950’s expeditions whom explored them extensively, pioneers such as Edmund Hillary, Tenzing Norway, Eric Shipton, George Lowe, Jimmy Roberts and Sen Tenzing.
